SEATTLE — The Seattle Seahawks have signed free-agent wide receiver Phillip Dorsett, according to ESPN’s Josina Anderson.
Dorsett was originally picked by the Indianapolis Colts in the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft after starring at the University of Miami.
Dorsett played for the Colts for two seasons before he was traded to the New England Patriots in exchange for quarterback Jacoby Brissett.
In three seasons with the Patriots, Dorsett had 73 receptions for 881 yards and eight touchdowns. Last year, Dorsett caught 29 passes for 397 yards and five touchdowns.
The 27-year-old joins the following wide receivers currently on the Seahawks roster: Tyler Lockett, DK Metcalf, Malik Turner, John Ursua, Cody Thompson and Penny Hart.
