Renton Transit Center closes as police respond to suspicious package

A suspicious package closed the Renton Transit Center Tuesday afternoon.

The package was spotted inside shortly after 11 a.m.

Metro buses were delayed. The RapidRide F Line stopped westbound on South 2nd St east of Logan Avenue South. Metro supervisors were on site to assist customers. As of 12:15 a.m., Metro buses were traveling east on South 3rd Street and west on South Second Street.

The temporary bus stops were  
 - Eastbound on South 3rd Street and east of Burnett Avenue South 
 - Westbound on South 2nd Street just east of Burnett Avenue South.
