QFC, Fred Meyer plan to hire 2,500 workers across western Washington

QFC and Fred Meyer plan to hire more than 2,500 workers over the next several months across western Washington, according to a release sent out Thursday.

The stores are trying to meet staffing needs throughout western Washington and have various positions open in the following areas: pharmacies, distribution centers and retail stores.

The stores are reportedly experiencing steady growth.

“We have an ongoing goal to provide customers the highest level of service possible and want to hire individuals who share in our passion for people and fresh food,” said Erik Hovey, head of human resources at QFC. “Our company offers world-class medical and dental benefits, retirement plus a 401K with company matching, in-store discounts, fuel rewards, and tuition reimbursement.”

The parent company of QFC and Fred Meyer, The Kroger Co., stated it offers its associates medical, dental and education benefits. Employees can get up to $3,500 annually and up to $21,000 throughout their employment to improve their education.
