PUYALLUP, Wash. — Officers with the Puyallup Police Department are searching for a man who they say robbed a gas station Tuesday night
Police said when the man came into the store, located on Valley Ave NE, he attempted to purchase items, but when the clerk opened the register, the man forcibly reached into the cash drawer.
The man then fled the scene in a dark-colored SUV, police said.
“The suspect got away with $309.62 in cash and coins, plus the seven packs of Marlboro cigarettes valued at $10.10/each ($70.70 total),” Puyallup police said.
Police said the man left behind a lemonade and Reese’s cups that were taken as evidence for fingerprints.
The man is described by police as a white male who is 26-27 years old and about 5 feet, 7 inches tall, with brown hair and what appears to be tattoos on his hand.
The man was wearing a gray, hooded sweatshirt with several roses down the sleeves, police said.
