Police say teenage girl shot by woman at Tukwila gas station

TUKWILA, Wash. — Police in Tukwila are investigating a shooting that happened at a gas station Wednesday night.

A 17-year-old Tacoma girl was shot around 9:15 p.m. in the parking lot of a Chevron on Strander Boulevard.

Police say the suspect was identified as a 19-year-old woman from Lacey. The two knew each other.

At about midnight, with the help of the Thurston County Sheriff's Office, the suspect was taken into custody and taken back to the Tukwila Police Department.

She was interviewed and then booked into the King County Jail.

The victim is in the hospital. Her condition is not known.

Tukwila police major crimes detectives are still investigating and ask anyone who was at or near the Chevron gas station at the time of the shooting to call Tukwila police at 206-433-1808.
