STEVENS PASS, Wash. — Police said that a Marysville woman, whose body was found along U.S. 2 on Stevens Pass last week, had been murdered.

The 25-year-old victim’s body was found by passing drivers around 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 7.

The body was on the edge of the highway in the Rock Mountain Trail area, where there are no homes or businesses.

Her car, a black 2013 Chrysler 200, was found on fire in the 6200 block of Lowell Snohomish River Road in Snohomish County the night of Sept. 7.
