Police: Man with pellet gun shot at trooper, Everett police cars

EVERETT, Wash. — Everett police said a man who was having mental issues fired a pellet gun at law enforcement vehicles Thursday night.

Police said a Washington State Patrol trooper was driving on Everett Mall Way at 8:30 p.m. when a man shot at his window with a pellet gun.

The man then went to the nearby Everett Police Department South Precinct and fired pellets at the police cars there.

Officers gave chase with a police dog and detained the man. He was taken to the hospital as a precaution after having contact with the K-9.

The Everett man will be booked into jail.

No one was hurt by the pellets.
