Police: Man stabs friend several times with sword in Tacoma

TACOMA, Wash. — An 18-year-old man was arrested early Wednesday morning after police say he allegedly stabbed his friend with a sword several times.

Officers responded to the 1100 block of East 52nd Street before 1 a.m. after a person reported that someone cut their roommate with a sword.

Investigators said an 18-year-old man allegedly stabbed his friend several times with a katana sword.

The victim had non-life-threatening injuries.

The man was arrested and booked for first-degree assault.
