Investigation underway after man shot, killed in Seattle

SEATTLE — Seattle police are investigating after a 19-year-old man was shot and killed Thursday afternoon in Seattle.

Police were called at about 2:50 p.m. to the 11200 block of Roosevelt Way Northeast and 42nd Street, where a man was shot in the parking lot at an apartment complex near Northgate Mall.

When officers arrived at the scene, they immediately performed lifesaving measures on the man until medics arrived.

The man was rushed to the hospital, but authorities said he died on the way to Harborview Medical Center.

Authorities have not said what led to the shooting.

Police did not find a suspect but are asking anyone with information about the shooting to give them a call at 206-233-5000.

The investigation remains ongoing.
