BURLINGTON, Wash. — Police are investigating a Saturday night double shooting in Burlington that sent two men to the hospital.
Officers responded to reports of gunshots in the 100 block of South Burlington Boulevard around 11 p.m. When they arrived, they found a 26-year-old Mount Vernon man with a gunshot wound.
Police said the shooter had fled the scene and that a car was also seen leaving the area.
Shortly after, police found a car matching that description in the 1800 block of State Route 20 in Sedro Woolley. One of the occupants was a 28-year-old Burlington man with a gunshot.
The Mount Vernon man was taken to Providence Medical Center and the Burlington man was taken to Skagit Valley Hospital.
The suspect has not been identified and police are investigating.
