Police investigating after man with gunshot wound to face arrives at hospital

SEATTLE — Police are investigating after a man with a gunshot wound was dropped off at Harborview Medical Center on Thursday afternoon.

Seattle police said at around 12:15 p.m., a man came to the hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his face.

The man told officers that he was shot inside his van near 12th Avenue South and South Jackson Street and then taken to Harborview by someone who was driving his van, according to law enforcement. The driver reportedly left immediately.

When officers searched for the van, they could not find it.

It is not clear yet what led to the shooting.
