Police investigating after 2 men shot near Alki Beach

SEATTLE — Police are investigating after two men were shot early Sunday morning in the Alki neighborhood.

Officers responded to the 5500 block of Alki Avenue Southwest after people reported hearing gunshots. They found a truck that had been hit with three people inside.

Two of the men in the truck were hit, one in the chest and the other in his arm.

One man was transported by Seattle Fire Department medics and the other was taken in an ambulance to Harborview Medical Center.

Both were in serious but not life-threatening condition.

Witnesses told police they saw a car speeding away from the scene, but officials are still trying to develop a possible suspect description.
