SEATTLE — Two women were injured Wednesday evening in a drive-by shooting in Seattle's Central District.
Police and emergency crews responded to reports of shots fired at 22nd Avenue and East Pine Street after 5 p.m.
One of them victims told police she was driving when she pulled over to let another car driving in the opposite direction pass.
Police said as the vehicle passed, the driver fired several shots at the victim's car, hitting the two women inside.
The victim's vehicle then struck a parked car as as the driver fled the scene.
The two women were taken to Harborview Medical Center to be treated for their non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation remains ongoing.
