Four people had to be extricated from a car after a collision with a car driven by a man who was arrested for DUI early Friday in Seattle.
The crash happened at approximately 2 a.m. at the intersection of Madison Street and Boren Avenue.
Seattle police said a 30-year-old Cadillac driver was headed westbound when it ran a red light at the intersection and collided with a Hyundai with four people inside.
The crash caused the Hyundai to roll over and hit a bank building at the southwest corner of the intersection, police said.
Law enforcement said when medics arrived, four people were pulled from the car with life-threatening injuries and taken to Harborview Medical Center.
The driver of the Cadillac was not injured and evaluated at the scene. He was determined to be impaired, officials said.
The Cadillac driver was arrested and booked into the King County Jail.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
