Police identify suspects in connection with homicide near Green Lake

SEATTLE — Seattle police said two people have been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting near Green Lake last month.

On June 19, a 59-year-old man was shot in the chest on Aurora Avenue North near North 84th Street after he heard the suspects robbing a man and made a comment, police said.

The 59-year-old died from his injuries.

On Thursday morning, police served arrest warrants and took 19-year-old Larente Vanga and 18-year-old Kayshawn Jackson into custody.

Vanga was booked for investigation of robbery, homicide and felony harassment.

Jackson's charges are unknown at this time.
