Person pours gasoline and attempts to light ATM in Seattle Target

SEATTLE — A person was arrested on Saturday after pouring gasoline and trying to light an ATM on fire in a Seattle Target, according to Seattle police.

Around 9:32 a.m. on Jan. 8, a person walked into the lobby of a Target in the 1400 block of Second Avenue and attempted to pour and light gasoline on an ATM.

After security confronted them, the person fled around the corner to another building and poured more gasoline in the front of another lobby.

The person fled southbound on Second Avenue before being taken into custody by Seattle police.

They were booked into the King County jail for an investigation of attempted arson.

The gasoline and lighter were recovered and placed into evidence.
