Pedestrian struck, injured by car in Tumwater

THURSTON COUNTY, Wash. — A pedestrian was struck and injured by a car on Friday evening in Tumwater.

Washington State Patrol Trooper Robert Reyer said the collision happened on the ramp from Trosper Road Southwest to northbound Interstate 5.

Authorities performed lifesaving measures on the man, and he was taken to the hospital. He was reportedly in stable condition.

According to law enforcement, the pedestrian walked onto the road, but the driver was not able to stop in time.

The driver remained at the scene of the crash, Reyer said.

The collision blocked the ramp, and Reyer said it will remain that way for the investigation.

The collision also caused traffic delays in the area.
