SEATTLE — The National Weather Service issued a flood watch for several Western Washington rivers as heavy rains move through the area.
The flood watch extends from Monday evening through Tuesday night and covers portions of Clallam, Jefferson, Mason, King and Snohomish counties.
"Heavy rain today into Tuesday will cause significant rises on area rivers flowing off the Olympics and central Cascades," the NWS said.

Waterways likely to flood are the Calwah, Bogachiel, Stillaguamish, Skykomish, Snohomish, Snoqualmie and Tolt rivers.
The NWS advises people who live near the affected rivers to keep an eye on water levels and stay prepared.
