KIRO 7, along with our parent company Cox Enterprises and The Trust for Public Land, are once again honoring local environmental volunteers with the Cox Conserves Heroes Awards.
The program honors members of our community who are creating, preserving or enhancing shared outdoor spaces in our community.
The local winner from Western Washington will receive $10,000 to donate to their environmental nonprofit of choice. They will then go on to compete nationally against winners in eight other markets for an additional award of $50,000.
You can nominate a deserving volunteer now through July 31 at coxconservesheroes.com.
Over the past 11 years, the Cox Conserves Heroes program has contributed nearly $1 million to environmental nonprofits and honored more than 200 volunteers across the country.
