New vending machine at UW’s Seattle campus offers reproductive health products

SEATTLE — The University of Washington’s UW Student Life Twitter account announced this week that a vending machine stocked with reproductive health products is located in the Odegaard Library café at UW’s Seattle campus.

The machine includes products like Plan B, tampons, and ibuprofen, and was placed in partnership with UW’s Pharmacists for Reproductive Education and Sexual Health — a registered student organization at the school — and the Kelley-Ross Foundation, a group “committed to elevating pharmacy practices through thought leadership, community giving, education, training, and a commitment to powerful healthcare innovation,” according to its website.
