Multiple crashes caused by slick conditions in Federal Way

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. — Multiple serious crashes have been reported on Military Road in Federal Way because of slick conditions Monday morning.

The crashes were reported to have started after 5 a.m. and happened near South 302nd, 304th, 308th and 360th streets on Military Road South. Emergency dispatchers say the road was icy.

At least one other crash occurred on northbound I-5 near SR 18.

In the crash just after 5 a.m. at South 302nd Street, one of two cars involved caught fire. It is not known if anyone was hurt but the road was closed at the scene.

In a crash at South 304th, one person had minor injuries and had to be extricated from a car.
