Morning clouds, afternoon sun

More of the same with morning gloom in spots, breaking into afternoon sunshine in the low elevations.

High temperatures will rise to the mid-to-upper 60s but the coast will stay mostly socked in with highs in the 50s.  We could have a few morning sprinkles or some drizzle, but that will be more likely in the foothills and toward the Cascades and Olympics, as well as at the coast.

In the mountains, the mainly sunny skies will give way to some clouds and isolated showers by late day but any precipitation will stay in the higher elevations.

Friday afternoon will be more active weather wise in the mountains with showers and even isolated thunderstorms later in the day.  With an east-to-west flow, it's possible a few of these showers make it into low-elevation spots, but the atmosphere around Puget Sound itself will be rather stable so these areas of convection will diminish as they move farther west off the mountains.

This weekend, expect a mix of sun and clouds with temperatures back in the 70s with only slight chance of showers.
