SEATTLE — A 46-year-old man with ties to Snohomish County was arrested Thursday on investigation of dealing and possession of child pornography.

In June, officers from the Lynnwood Police Department asked for help from the Snohomish County Violent Offender Task Force to help locate the man after probable cause for his arrest was established.

Police said he was also wanted by the Washington State Department of Corrections for violating the conditions of his release.

Deputies said it was tough to track down the man because he is known to be a transient with limited ties to Snohomish County. He was known to frequent the Ballard and Fremont neighborhoods of Seattle and has ties to Alaska as a fisherman.

On Thursday, a deputy learned he was in Seattle’s Belltown neighborhood. Around 1:40 p.m., he was seen walking and was taken into custody without incident.

The man was booked into the Snohomish County Jail on investigation of dealing and possession of child pornography, for his DOC warrant and for an outstanding felony warrant in King County.
