Man shot at Marysville gas station

MARYSVILLE, Wash. — A man was taken to the hospital after he was shot at a Marysville gas station Monday morning.

Shortly before 4 a.m., someone called 911 to report that people inside two vehicles were shooting at each other at the Chevron at 70 State Avenue.

Police arrived to find a 44-year-old man who had been shot in the right arm. Officers said they applied a tourniquet until Marysville Fire Department medics arrived. The victim, who is expected to survive, was taken to Providence Medical Center.

Police said one of the two vehicles involved had already left the scene when officers arrived.

Detectives said preliminary information indicates that those involved in the shooting knew each other.

The suspected shooter has not been arrested.
