TACOMA, Wash. — Officers are asking for the public’s help in finding who shot a man who was found dead in the middle of a Tacoma street late Wednesday.
Police received a call about shots fired on East 26th Street around 11:30 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found an unresponsive man on the ground. Officers started CPR on the victim until Tacoma Fire Department medics arrived. Medics then continued to try to save the man, but he died at the scene.
The victim’s identity is not yet known.
Detectives ask anyone who witnessed the shooting or has any information about the crime to call Tacoma police.
