Man injured in Chinatown-International District shooting

SEATTLE — Seattle police are investigating after a man was shot in the Chinatown-International District near Kobe Terrace park Friday night.

At 11:18 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting at 6th Avenue South and South Washington Street.

Once they arrived at the scene, officers found a man with a gunshot wound to the stomach and immediately began first aid. Seattle Fire medics took over care and transported the 38-year-old victim to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition.

Multiple witnesses were interviewed who gave varying accounts of the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Gun Violence Reduction Unit detectives responded to the scene and will continue to investigate this incident.
