Man hit with frying pan, stabbed in International District

SEATTLE — Seattle police are looking for a man suspected of attacking his roommate in an International District apartment Monday night.

Officers were called to an apartment building in the 400 block of South Jackson Street just before 5 p.m. for a report of a stabbing.

Officers arrived to find a 36-year-old man sitting in the lobby. He had a stab wound to his abdomen and was taken to Harborview with serious injuries.

The victim told officers that he had been in an apartment and got into an argument with his 32-year-old roommate. He said the roommate hit him with a frying pan and then stabbed him before he was able to escape.

Officers checked the apartment and found blood, but the suspect was not found.
