Deputies are investigating after a man died in a shooting in Des Moines on Wednesday.
After 4 p.m., officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 22900 block of 30th Avenue South.
According to investigators, there was a dispute between a 22-year-old man and a 45-year-old man over a backpack.
Deputies said the 22-year-old shot the 45-year-old, who then tried to get away in a car.
According to deputies, the 45-year-old fell from the car and he was taken to Harborview Medical Center but later died from his injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
