Man arrested in attack on his children’s mother

TACOMA, Wash. — A man who is suspected of attacking the mother of his children Sunday night was arrested in Tacoma.

Tacoma fire medics were called to a home in the 5600 block of S. Park Avenue at 7:30 a.m. for a report of a woman who was not breathing.

When medics arrived, they were told the woman was hurt during a physical fight with the father of her children. The 27-year-old victim was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Tacoma officers detained the suspect. He was later booked into the Pierce County Jail for investigation of first-degree assault.

Detectives and forensic technicians were called to the scene to investigate.
