A man was arrested Sunday morning after fighting with bicycle officers during a stop for a weapons violation.
Officers contacted the man at 11 a.m. at Pike Street and Hubbell Place, where the suspect was displaying a knife. They told him the knife was illegal, after which the suspect complied with orders and put down the knife.
When officers were conducting a patdown, the suspect began to fight with the officers. They were able to wrestle him to the ground and take him into custody.
Police located a small amount of cocaine in his backpack and found that he already had two warrants for his arrest.
The man was booked into jail shortly after.
