SEATTLE — Police arrested a man suspected of firing a gun inside of a Pioneer Square nightclub early Sunday.

According to Seattle police, they were monitoring a crowd in the 100 block of Occidental Avenue South and heard gunfire inside a club around 1:55 a.m.

When a flood of people came out of the club, police said they pointed toward a man, signaling to officers he was the shooter.

The suspect was taken into custody without incident.

When officers entered the club, they found a man with a gunshot wound to his leg, officials said.

Aid was given to the man and medics took him to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses told police that the victim and suspect were arguing before gunfire rang out, authorities said.

The investigation is ongoing.
