Man accused of exposing himself to woman in Redmond

A 31-year-old man was charged with voyeurism after investigators said he allegedly exposed himself to a woman.

An officer responded to an indecent exposure report in the 15700 block of Northeast 98th Way.

According to probable cause documents, a woman called police to report that while she was walking on Slough Trail, a man riding a bike followed her to her complex and exposed himself.

The woman told investigators that the man got off his bike and she saw him undo his pants. She told police that the man was “touching himself.”

Investigators said the man was about 3 to 4 feet from the woman and asked her, “How are you?” and “Are you OK?” He then told her that he was looking for an apartment and asked where the leasing office was located.

After she pointed in the direction of the office, the man got back on his bike and rode away.

Officers searched the area but did not find him.

About half an hour later, the officer responded to a report of a man walking on a roof in the 10300 block of 155th Place Northeast.

In probable cause documents, a woman saw a man looking through her window who had both hands down his pants.

The woman told investigators that her 6-year-old daughter was in the room, also, and told her, : “Mom, someone is watching us. Can you please close the blinds?”

Investigators said the girl then saw the man on the roof looking through one of the windows.

Police located the man and took him into custody.

The woman from the earlier incident and the witness who reported the man on the roof both positively identified the man.

Investigators said the man is also the suspect in an attempted burglary in the same area.
