Man accused of driving small airplane at crowd, investigators say

A 56-year-old Port Ludlow man was taken into custody after investigators say he allegedly drove a small airplane at people near a private airport in Silverdale.

The Kitsap Sun reported that Jeffrey Wilfred S. Dorsey was in a vehicle when he was described as intoxicated and obnoxious and started yelling at a group in a motorcycle class near Apex Airpark.

Dorsey then left and allegedly came back a few minutes later in a small airplane, driving it toward the crowd of students. The group moved out of the way but and Dorsey yelled at them again. Dorsey then allegedly drove the plane at the crowd again.

No one was injured.

Dorsey was taken into custody, was booked into the Kitsap County Jail and held on $200,000 bail.

He was charged with second-degree assault.
