A brother and sister, killed in a horrific crash on Aurora Avenue, have now been identified.
The terrible crash happened in Seattle at 39th and Aurora Avenue last Friday.
Even four days later, there is still a lot of debris left behind.
The street sign is now at ground level, and a battered stop sign was knocked over -- all part of what is left of the scene where two young people lost their lives.
Rebecca Richman, 28, her 26-year-old brother Michael, their father and her boyfriend were walking on this sidewalk when the unimaginable happened.
Seattle police say Radalyn King was behind the wheel of a Nissan Sentra when she closed her eyes and deliberately drove onto the sidewalk, plowing into the group. Then, she tried to run. But a passenger on a nearby Metro bus jumped off and chased after her.
"I chased her all the way up the hill," said Lamini Amara, the eyewitness. "I waited until the police get there. She was hiding in the bushes."
By then, Rebecca was likely dead.
Lewis & Clark Law School in Portland confirmed she graduated with a JD degree in 2019. On her Linkedin page, she described her "specialty" as "telling a client's story through compelling writing."
Michael died later at Harborview Medical Center.
A friend's Facebook post described him as a "talented actor, musician and singer."
He and his sister grew up in Los Angeles.
Rebecca's 25-year-old boyfriend emerged largely unscathed.
Her father, however, was badly hurt.
The woman who allegedly caused such devastation is on suicide watch. But she looked back and smiled at her family during her court hearing Monday.
There is a bit of good news in all of this.
The victims' father is in satisfactory condition at Harborview Medical Center.
The suspect remains at the King County jail on $500,000 bail.
