Investigators working to find out if string of fires are connected

SEATTLE — Fire officials are working to find out if three fires set within a one-hour period in North Seattle are connected.

Investigators said it appears the fires were intentionally set Sunday night.

One of the fires was set in a dumpster in the corner of an apartment building at 4250 Aurora Avenue North.

Investigators combed through the burned-out trash looking for evidence.

Another fire was set near an apartment building in the 4100 block of Whitman Avenue North, a quarter-mile from the first fire.

The third fire happened in Shoreline near a Sears at 15711 Aurora Avenue North. Shoreline fire is investigating that fire.

Nobody was injured in any of the fires.
