An officer shot Said Joquin, 26, who was taken to Tacoma hospital where he died, police said.

Joquin’s family told KIRO 7’s news partner The News Tribune he ran a stop sign and was cooperating with police when he was shot.

Investigators have not released details about the incident, saying only that Wiley opened fire as back-up was arriving.

Back in 2013, Officer Wiley was named in a wrongful death lawsuit in connection to a deadly SWAT standoff in Fife.

That suit ended with a $12.5 million settlement.
