Crews cleared the scene of a crash that involved three semi-trucks and one box truck on Interstate 5 in Lacey on Wednesday afternoon.
The crash happened at about 3 p.m. at Martin Way.
Troopers said there were several injuries in the crash but they are not serious. At least one person was taken to an area hospital.
All lanes of NB I-5 remained open, however the distraction caused slowdowns in the northbound direction as well.
After 8 p.m., traffic officials started reopening southbound lanes. The backup was still several miles long.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
