Driver strikes, injures pedestrian in Lynnwood, police say

LYNNWOOD, Wash. — A 37-year-old Everett man crossing State Route 99 on Friday was struck and injured by a car, a trooper with Washington State Patrol said.

Authorities said the man was in the crosswalk near 148th Street Southwest when he was struck by the car that had the right of way.

The driver did not stop and continued northbound on SR 99.

The victim was taken to Providence Hospital with unknown injuries.

The crash is under investigation.
