A hiker was rescued after being stranded on a rock piling near the Columbia River on Wednesday night, according to officials.
The Coast Guard received a dispatch from local authorities at 9:18 p.m. The hiker was then airlifted after getting stuck on a rock piling at Ecola State Park on Wednesday night. He was uninjured and transported to an air station in Astoria.
