High volume of travelers causing parking crunch at Sea-Tac

SEATAC, Wash. — If you’re flying out of Seattle and were planning on leaving your car in Sea-Tac Airport’s parking garage, you’ll need to make other plans.

The Port of Seattle put out an advisory early Thursday morning that the garage is at capacity.

The airport said travelers can expect longer security lines throughout the month of April, with lines longest Thursday through Sunday because so many school districts are on spring break at the same time.

The high passenger volumes are now affecting parking spaces, with travelers having problems finding spots even at offsite parking lots.

The airport says passengers should consider taking link light rail or another mode of transportation to Sea-Tac.
