Golden Knights set to jump for Seafair

The U.S. Army’s Golden Knights are prepared to take to the sky and skydive during Seafair this weekend.

The United States Army Parachute Team was nicknamed the Golden Knights in 1962. According to the Army, “Golden” was chosen for the gold medals the team had won while “Knights” refers to the team’s ambition to conquer the skies.

They have won 2,148 gold medals, 1,117 silver and 693 bronze medals during national and international competitions.

The Golden Knights have performed in more than 16,000 shows across all 50 states and 48 countries.

For this weekend, the Golden Knights are scheduled to jump Friday at 11:15 a.m., Saturday at 11:55 a.m. and Sunday at noon. The schedule is subject to change.
