Thunderstorms rolling into Puget Sound region Friday

SEATTLE — We have scattered showers this morning with temps in the upper 30s.

We actually did see some pockets of snow/wet snow and hail Thursday night.

More of that is possible Friday morning, mainly above 500-1,000 feet if the showers are heavy enough to even reach 500 feet.

As the day goes on, we'll see more scattered showers that will become heavier at times. Hail, ice pellets and thunderstorms are pretty likely, especially this afternoon.

If the showers are heavy enough, and they more than likely will be, even this afternoon we could briefly see some snow and wet snow to around 500 feet.

Basically, it'll be an active day and some of the thunderstorms could be stronger than normal. Highs will be in the upper-40s with gusty to breezy weather.

Saturday we'll see scattered showers with the chance for wet snow in the morning again.  Showers will stick around into the afternoon.

Sunday we'll see drier conditions, however, a few showers could increase in the afternoon and evening.  Right now the first part of next week looks drier.
