DES MOINES, Wash. — South King Fire officials put out a grass fire Sunday evening at Pacific Middle School in Des Moines.
Officials said when firefighters arrived, the fire was smoldering. They also found smoldering fireworks debris.
Fire officials said fireworks are illegal and the dry conditions outside are dangerous for fires.
The scene was turned over to school security, fire officials said.
