Police said the man, who is a resident of the apartment, returned to the scene and told the Fire Marshal he intentionally set the fire.

The fire occurred at about 2 a.m., and crews responded quickly to extinguish flames on the second floor of a four-story apartment building after reports of light smoke. The building is located on the 4100 block of SW Edmunds Street.
