SHORELINE, Wash. — A woman narrowly escaped a fire without injury before it damaged her house and killed two cats Sunday, Shoreline firefighters said.
First responders were called around 7:25 p.m. to the 19000 block of Ashworth Avenue North.
Officials said neighbors helped the woman escape before first responders arrived at the scene.
There is no word on what caused the fire.
Officials said the house was almost completely destroyed in the fire.
Red Cross volunteers were called to help the woman.
Residential structure fire at 19000 block of Ashworth Ave N. Called in at approx 7:25pm. Resident escaped with help of neighbors prior to our arrival. No injuries. Two cats were found deceased. Thanks to South Sno County Fire, Northshore and Seattle Fire for their assistance.
