Everett waterfront apartments open after construction project fire

EVERETT, Wash. — An Everett waterfront apartment building had its grand opening Wednesday morning after a fire ripped through the construction project last summer.

On July 16, a fire consumed a four-story unfinished apartment building that was being built in the 1700 block of West Marine View Drive and Seiner Drive at Fisherman’s Harbor.

Officials said a firefighter suffered a burn to their hand, but no one else was injured.

Work is still being done on the site.

The apartments are the first housing project in the history of the Everett waterfront.
