Everett police investigating gang-related shooting from Friday night

Everett police are investigating a shooting that occurred Friday night as gang-related. The incident occurred at Wiggums Hollow Park in Everett.

Officers were dispatched at 9:30 p.m. after neighbors reported hearing gunshots. They didn't find any victims but did find shell casings. Shortly after, officers received reports of a man who had been brought to Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett with gunshot wounds that were not considered life-threatening.

The man did not cooperate with detectives in their investigation and has known gang ties. The shooting is being investigated as gang-related.

On Saturday morning, officers learned of a second injured man at Skagit Valley Hospital with gunshot wounds. Police believe this man was leaving the park when the shooting started. The man and his vehicle were struck and the vehicle has since been impounded.

Police continue to investigate.
