SEATTLE — Twelve people were arrested Tuesday during a drug emphasis patrol in downtown Seattle.
Police said the patrol focused on the Yesler Way and Pike Street areas of Third Avenue.
Officers said they seized crack cocaine, methamphetamine and heroin.
A car associated with one of the arrests was also impounded and officers applied for a search warrant, police said.
“During the emphasis, bicycle officers also noticed a man near 2nd Avenue and Pike attacking pedestrians with a meat cleaver and a stick and quickly took him into custody,” Seattle police wrote in a blotter post.
Police said there were no injuries and the man who attempted to attack people with a meat cleaver was booked into the King County Jail on investigation of felony assault.
In total, police said they seized over $1,000 during the arrests.
