Dog unaccounted for after fire rips through Spanaway house

SPANAWAY, Wash. — A house in Spanaway is a total loss and a dog is unaccounted for after a fire broke out on Tuesday afternoon.

The house is located in the 4000 block of 276 Street East, about two miles south of Bethany Cemetery.

Officials said a neighbor heard a loud pop around 12:30 p.m. and went next door only to see the house in flames. The homeowners were not there at the time of the fire.

Crews with Graham Fire & Rescue, Orting Valley Fire & Rescue and South Pierce Fire & Rescue all responded to the scene.
