Dog rescued from fire at Kent home

KENT, Wash. — A dog was rescued from a fire at a home in Kent on Sunday afternoon.

Those inside the home near West Valley Highway and South 238th Street escaped without injury.

When firefighters arrived, they found the dog hiding under a bed. The dog was given oxygen after being carried out and was taken to a veterinarian in Renton.

Crews did not say what caused the fire but are investigating.
